"My twin 9 year old boys worked with Ms. Hutchison over the Summer twice each week to improve their literacy skills. She's the best! She spent extra time getting to know their interests, as well as strengths and weakness, in order to individually tailor their assignments. She made reading (and even homework) fun and engaging! My children came away from her Summer program with increased confidence, improved comprehension skills, and increased speed of reading. She was flexible, accommodating, and just an all- around pleasure. Our family highly recommends this program, and we look forward to continued use of the services provided."

"We saw a real difference in both of our kids! Speech of Cake holds classes at our preschool, which is super convenient for us. We enrolled our 3-year-old, to work on turn-taking and some of the social aspects of conversation. The other day she asked us, "Is it my turn now?" We also enrolled our 2-year-old to work on his pronunciation. He's so much easier to understand now, which helps with his frustration. Conversations at our house have become a lot more enjoyable!"

"What an excellent and fun experience! Our son attended two weeks of full-day camp this summer at Speech of Cake and we could not be happier with the process, camp, and results.  A friend referred me to Speech of Cake; Courtney and Leigh came to our house soon thereafter and met with us and our son.  They were fantastic—energetic, outgoing, and engaging with our son.  They really wanted to get to know him, to see if all would be a good fit.  And it was!

The Speech of Cake camp was excellent.  The student to staff ratio was low, the staff was creative and involved, the activities were fun and academic, and the report at the end of the program was very comprehensive.  The materials used by the camp were also the same as used by our speech therapist, enabling us to use the same vocabulary at home.  Our son enjoyed his time there and often talked of the activities.  He was also very tired at the end of the day, which was a great sign!
